Experienced Health Care Assistant
Mō te tūnga | About the role:
We have permanent opportunities for experienced Level 3 and Level 4 Health Care Assistants to join our team at Enliven Vickery Court.
Working under the guidance of our Registered and Enrolled Nurses, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to our residents, supporting their wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with purpose and make a genuine difference every day.
As we provide care and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, successful candidates will need to be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Ngā pūkenga | What you will need to be successful:
- Hold a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3 or higher) through Careerforce, or an equivalent NZQCF-recognised qualification from another approved provider, along with relevant aged care experience.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting older people to live with dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Communicate clearly, respectfully, and compassionately with residents, whānau, and colleagues.
- Be reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Demonstrate kindness, patience, and a commitment to our values of Respect, Compassion, Family, Community, and Accountability.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to residents with their daily living needs, including meals, hydration, personal hygiene, mobility, and skin integrity.
- Build positive relationships with residents and their whānau through respectful, empathetic, and professional communication.
- Encourage and support residents to participate in social, recreational, and meaningful activities that enhance their wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
- Observe, document, and accurately report changes in residents' health, wellbeing, and care needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and contribute to a positive, supportive, and resident-focused team environment.
