Mō te tūraka | About the role:

This role involves supporting the senior accountant and finance team in delivering key accounting functions across our organisation. You'll tackle a range of complex accounting tasks, ensuring no two days are the same,  you will assist with financial processes, supporting month-end reconciliations, preparing financial reports and contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities.  Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you’ll work with teams across the organisation to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities:

  • supporting the financial team with all accounting processes  
  • support the preparation of monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and reporting
  • providing accurate and expert financial advise, information and analysis across the organisation
  • ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory financial obligations 

Ngā pūkenga | What you will need to be successful:

  • demonstrated expertise in Excel, with the ability to manage and analyse large, complex datasets, providing insightful financial analysis and reporting 
  • proven experience in building relationships across departments to drive collaboration and achieve organisational goals
  • experience in an accounting role within a large organisation,  with a solid understanding of financial operations and strategic decision-making
  • ability to effectively manage competing priorities, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities while delivering high-quality out-puts
  • a degree in finance or accounting, with a focus on completing your registration or progress towards qualification as a Chartered Accountant
